Gynaecology is a very important part of the traditional Chinese medicine. For A long time the Chinese doctors have treated women with relation to their menstrual cycle, cysts on the ovaries, tumours, obstructions with the fallopian tubes, infertility and the causes that provoke these problems.
In China, the same problems arise with the infertility as those here, the Chinese doctors already treated these problems even before the introduction of the Traditional Chinese medicine, which have and are stated in various ancient text books.
A Chinese infertility clinic is far fetched from those we have here, but one thing that is the same here then that in China: The desperation of a woman that wants to have children even when nature fails her, it?s the same feelings they have here as well as over in china, the biological importance in these instances to reproduce have no cultural boundaries.
The traditional Chinese medicinal hospitals in this present century, like the infertility clinics offer treatments which are based on that of acupuncture, medicinal plants, Qi Gong, specific diets & advice of changes in lifestyles and health if needed.
In the past, Infertility wasn?t looked at with much importance, virtually non existent, until the last few decades where the needs for the treatments have increased dramatically.
According to the united states statistics, one in six couples suffer with infertility problems and for 2025 only 7.7 million women have this problem.
MTC can help in this situation;
MTC is a natural alternative to infertility, gaining great results, confronting the invasive methods (medicines, surgical operations, injections etc?.) that the Chinese medicine offers.
In our centre, following the Chinese medicinal theory, we treat the infertility, depending on which phase of the menstrual cycle it falls on. There are 4 phases in the said cycle, these are; the release of the egg, the maturity/nesting into fallopian tubes, settling in uterus, release of unused egg from uterus (causing menstrual bleed).
1. This Phase relates to the release of egg, which after the 4th/5th day after the 1st day of menstruation. The treatment will start by toning the kidneys & nitrifying the blood.
2. This phase relates to the maturity/nesting of the egg into the fallopian tubes, this is where the ovulation takes place, the treatment in this case is used to nitrify and invigorate the blood.
3. This phase relates to premenstrual. The treatment used is to tone up the kidneys and strengthen all channels in relation to the reproduction system.
4. This is the last phase, the menstrual cycle, this happens when the unused egg is released from the uterus and causes the bleed we have on a monthly cycle. The treatment needed in this instance is to revitalise the blood and regulate the menstrual bleed.
The treatment in general looks at the kidneys and treats them, without affecting other organs and any of their interactions. The kidneys is the main organs that deals with regulating the menstrual process. The treatment needed for this needs complete discipline, patience, a positive attitude & the need following all the instructions. the treatments are individualised and are combined with acupuncture and Chinese medical plants/extracts.
Knowing that these treatments are the last and the most important therapeutic tools. The treatment time is variable, depending on each individual and the severity of each case, in china, they say the results should start showing within the first 3 months.
